2025 Summer Skills Program

2025 Summer Skills & Development Skates Information

High School Players and Incoming 9th Graders:

These skates serve as your preseason training, designed to prepare you for evaluations and the upcoming season.

These skates will be highly specialized in skating edgework and skill development. There will also be small area games to develop game scenario skills and situational awareness.

Attending these skates also fosters relationships and camaraderie with teammates. The shared commitment, training, and sacrifice strengthens team bonds, which are important to building chemistry and team success.

**The new high school coaching staff emphasizes the importance of these skates and strongly advises all players to attend as many of the 23 skates as possible.

6th-8th Grade Players:

These skates are a fantastic opportunity to connect with older players and the high school coaches, receive top-notch training and skill development, and become more involved in the Summit Ice Hockey program. You are the future of Summit Hockey!

Summer Skate Details:

► These one-hour skate sessions are scheduled throughout June and July. (See full schedule below)

► Some sessions (5 in total) will be specifically for high school players only (including incoming freshmen) See schedule below.

► Attendance is flexible, as we are aware of vacations, family commitments and other sports. Just communicate any absences to coaches.

► These skates are intended for students planning to attend Rockwood Summit High School.

Space is limited!

► Goalie training will also be offered during these skates through 3E Goaltending and Luke Venker. 3EGoaltending.com

► Goalies are responsible for paying 3E directly for their training and will not be charged for the summer program by Summit Hockey Club.

► Goalies will receive personalized coaching from 3E Goaltending, as well as time doing full team drills and minigame scenarios.

► Goalies still need to register for the summer program though, (no fee) so we have an accurate headcount.
